Archdiocese of Detroit is Hiring a Facilities Technician Near Bloomfield, MI
- Work with members of the Maintenance Department team to complete assigned work orders and daily routines
- Respond to emergency situations as a part of the Maintenance Department team for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
- Make general repairs to the building and grounds (e.g. painting, hanging shelves, landscaping, etc.)
- Assists, or performs solo when needed, general and detailed cleaning of building and grounds; performing a variety of custodial tasks
- Keep track of and complete daily routine jobs (e.g. cleaning the lunchroom, setting up road signage, etc.)
- Operate hand and power tools (e.g. drills, saws, snow throwers, etc.)
- Oversees and performs the duties associated with events, including executing the set-up plan in a timely manner, break-downs are completed on schedule with spaces returned to normal state
- Performs routine daily inspections of assigned buildings and spaces
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of the following: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry
- Skills to operate hand and power tools and knowledge of standards for the safe use of equipment
- Able to perform a variety of tasks, understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Work with a team
- Be physically able to meet the significant demands of the job including but not limited to standing or walking for prolonged periods, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing, seeing
- Coordinate jobs/projects based on priority set by Facilities Manager
- Completion of Virtus: Protecting God's Children training
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Criminal justice fingerprint clearance
- Proof of citizenship for employability
- Punctuality and dependability
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Competent in problem-solving, planning, and decision making
- Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and rules contained in the ASH Handbook
- Maintain productive and professional relationships with other Sacred Heart faculty and staff
